



Michael O’ Dowd has been singing in public since he was 10 years old, when as a boy in The Hollies Children’s Home Sidcup Kent he would appear in the shows performed by the children and sing along to records in the X factor style shows within the home.
Michael O’Dowd’s love of singing maybe comes from his family roots as a first cousin to the 70's star Boy George. In the early days he would be found singing all day long to his favourite songs. His favourite singers were Billy Fury, Buddy Holly, Everley Brothers, Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley.
As the years rolled on still singing he added Singers and groups like Bobby Vee, Neil Diamond, The Eagles, Neil Sedaka plus many others great artists

Michael O’Dowd can be heard singing in clubs across the country but has been performing around his home town of Folkestone on the South coast, regular shows are performed at The Burstin Hotel Folkestone, The CIU Club Footscray, Westgate Pavilion. And Allen’s Bar Great Yarmouth.
Michael O’ Dowd is not a impersonator but a tribute artist who covers these stars with a passion for his art, he is one very much a home with his act, a born entertainer.
Michael O’Dowd’s tribute act at a recent show for the reunion group of The Hollies Children’s Home Sidcup Kent, making his first return to the place it all started, and much to the pleasure of the gathered members, Michael O’Dowd is a member of Equity and supports Help for Heroes. In his entertaining show of great songs of the 1950's and 60's, and more Michael O’Dowd gives his cover of these great singers and songs of the past, and makes them come to life again.
